Neurotoxin

This cosmetic injection temporarily blocks the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract beneath the skin, which results in relaxing and smoothing the look of unwanted facial lines and wrinkles.

Suggested Treatment Areas For Neurotoxin

  • Neurotoxins, or neuromodulators like BOTOX® can help prevent or treat fine lines and deep horizontal creases that form in the forehead over time as a response to aging.

  • Frown lines or “11’s” are vertical creases that form between your eyebrows and can be smoothed or prevented with the use of a neurotoxin.

  • “Crow’s feet” are the wrinkles that can become etched in the outer corner of the eyes: neurotoxin is used for smoothing this area or as a preventative treatment.

  • Neurotoxin is used to subtly lift the brows, adding definition and creating a more youthful, awake-looking eye area.

  • “Bunny lines” are a nickname for the lines that appear when you scrunch up your nose, which can be smoothed using neurotoxin.

  • A lip flip is injected in the muscle around the lips causing the lip to “flip” or evert upward and outward, showing more pink hues of the lips.

  • Neurotoxin is used to treat the Depressor Anguli Oris, or DAO muscle, addressing the concern of a downturned mouth or “sad smile” and allowing the corners of the mouth to lift upward.

What Should I Expect During My Treatment?

Some individuals report the sensation of treatment similar to a pinch. The treatment lasts up to 3 months for moderate to severe lines.

Will I See Results Right Away?

Your results will become noticeable between day 3-7, and will continue to take effect up to two weeks from your initial treatment.

Do I Need More than One Treatment? Are Results Permanent?

Maintenance is recommended every 3 months for lasting results: If treatment is discontinued, unwanted lines will gradually return to your baseline presentation.

What Should I Expect During My Treatment?

Most patients experience only mild discomfort. Our cosmetic injectors use the most gentle and effective techniques to manage your comfort level, and may apply a local anesthetic prior to your treatment: some products are also formulated with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort.

Which filler is best for me?

Do I Need More than One Treatment? Are Results Permanent?

The effects of dermal filler are long lasting, but not permanent. Lasting anywhere from approximately 6 months to 2 years, dermal fillers metabolize differently in the body depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to: age, lifestyle, area or areas treated, types of filler used, and the quantity of filler used.
